Initiation and discovery flights
Aeroclub Jean Piquenot
Based on the Cherbourg-Maupertus airfield, the Jean Piquenot aeroclub has 130 members and owns 7 Robin DR 400 aircraft of different power ratings.
7 volunteer instructors provide flight training for the basic licence and private pilot licences.
The flying club offers the following activities:

Glider training
Gliding Centre of Vauville
This association, approved by the French Gliding Federation, offers glider training all year round and introductory glider and microlight flights.
The club has 7 aircraft for 35 members. 4 state-qualified instructors supervise the training.
The gliding centre in Vauville is open at weekends and on public holidays.

Model Air Club Hague
Model airplane piloting activity practised outdoors in the summer as well as indoors in the winter.
This club has about 80 members who practice many aspects of model aviation: aerobatic aircraft or models, gliders and helicopters... Many members take part in regional, national and international competitions.
